About TAP4 Solutions

TAP4's innovation in using NFC technology involves making the action triggered by reading a tag more dynamic. This is achieved through our cloud platform, where the functionality to be performed and the parameters desired by the user are determined based on the profile of the tag read.

The tag only shares an HTTPS link with the user's device, making it a non-invasive technology since communication is one-way and short-range, with no risk of compromising the information contained in the mobile device. Whether it's displaying an existing website or a selection of actions including showing information, downloading files, interacting with a cloud solution, or invoking a dynamic link to trigger a computer process. Each tag is factory-encoded with a unique serial number and write-protected, allowing for easy remote customization of one or multiple tags without modifying their content.

The range of solutions this application enables is unlimited, requiring little or no adaptation to meet very specific user needs. Nowadays, access to technology through a smart mobile device is a reality for a large part of the population. Each of these devices is now more powerful and has more capability than the computers we had just a few years ago to perform activities and control complex operations.

The use of NFC tags allows leveraging existing infrastructure with very low investment, with tags ranging from cents to others with more robust specifications that tolerate corrosive environments or conditions where other types of technologies are unfeasible.

Tags are passive, meaning they do not use a battery and are inactive until a compatible device approaches, which energizes it through a magnetic field and causes its content to be transmitted. This provides much greater durability and wear tolerance compared to other technologies like QR codes or active tags (airtags, beacons, etc.). The IoT (Internet of Things) concept has never made more sense than with this technology. A tag attached to a simple wooden chair can contextualize its physical location, technical specifications, assignment of responsibility, inventory number, user manuals, interactive videos, augmented reality activities, history and origin, maintenance program, and much more.

In summary, NFC technology goes far beyond contactless payment systems, and anyone who understands how it works will have more than one use case and a different and personal model to take advantage of its benefits.
